Development of a novel polyclonal antibody against bovine α_S1-casein IgE epitopes for prediction of potential allergenicity of milk in foods

Bovine αS1-casein (αS1-CN) is the main allergen in cow's milk, and immunoglobulin E (IgE) epitopes are material basis to trigger allergic reactions. Thus, IgE could be as key targets for precise αS1-CN detection allergenicity assessment. Here, we designed a tandem containing nine linear of (tαS1-CN), expressed recombinant tαS1-CN Escherichia coli, prepared rabbit polyclonal antibody against (pAb-tαS1-CN). The obtained had purity 94.43% retained antigenicity potential epitopes. pAb-tαS1-CN recognize αS1-CN, also showed high specificity. ability evaluate milk foods was validated by sera from allergy patients. These findings indicate that our may represents valuable tool evaluation processed foods.
